I am what I am, I am 32 flavors and then some

Tomorrow is the ending of one of the best years of my life so far and the beginning of a new year.

37 has been so good to me that I am anxious to know what 38 will bring.

To be honest, for a bit I was dreading leaving 37 behind. Then the good Lord showed me why I shouldn't fear saying good-bye to another year.

This past weekend was just terrible. Terrible with raisins. Enough said.

And as I was driving home from church on Sunday, I decided to talk to Him, as I couldn't understand why my last weekend of being 37 had to be so awful.

And I was reminded that other years I thought had been the best years of my life weren't perfect. That the years that had challenged me the most in some way were the ones that I needed.

And all of 37 hasn't been perfect. Yet, It has been what I needed

I am confident that as long I as continue to place my trust in the Lord, He will take care of me.

And with that unwavering faith, I can handle anything thrown my way.

And in honor of turning 38, I have made the list of 38 things I'd rather be than pretty, as I threatened to do in another blog recently...as someone wrote at the top of their list, I'd rather be soul food than eye candy.

(I just came) to say goodbye

It is time to say good-bye to this blog and start anew. My weight loss journey has been well chronicled here, as well as my religious one ...
